Wellgistics provides technology-driven services to independent pharmacies, specializing in digital prescription routing and AI-powered hub fulfillment. As part of the executive team, Dr. Pirani has been instrumental in shaping Wellgistics’ vision of digitizing the prescription journey through interoperable health solutions. His expertise has been critical in the company’s successful transition to becoming a publicly traded organization, where his focus remains on innovation, compliance, and scalable clinical growth.
Chief Clinical & Regulatory Compliance Officer, Bonum Health and TRxADE Health
Before joining Wellgistics, Dr. Pirani held the position of Chief Clinical and Regulatory Compliance Officer for Bonum Health and TRxADE Health (NASDAQ: MEDS). There, he led the development of compliant digital health programs and pharmacy initiatives designed to promote sustainability, patient outcomes, and B2B2C growth. His leadership ensured that technology-enabled healthcare solutions aligned with regulatory standards while remaining accessible to patients and providers.
Additional Professional Experience Dr. Pirani’s earlier professional ventures reflect his versatility across pharmacy operations and innovation. He served as Executive Vice President for Alliance Pharma Solutions (DelivMeds), Senior Clinical Pharmacist and Director of Operations for an independent mail order facility, and Co-Founder and Director of Clinical Operations for a nonprofit interdisciplinary clinic serving low-income patients.
During his tenure in mail order pharmacy, Dr. Pirani expanded services nationwide, improved workflow efficiencies, and strengthened vendor partnerships. He spearheaded new clinical initiatives, including the integration of Chronic Care Management and Pharmacogenomics through a cloud-based care platform. His leadership helped secure reaccreditation as a Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Site (VIPPS) and as a URAC Mail Order facility while driving down costs and improving prescription turnaround times.
Academic Contributions
Over the past decade, Dr. Shafaat Pirani has also dedicated himself to education and mentorship. He has served as a Pharmacy Preceptor at BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic, a nonprofit, student-run clinic in Tampa, where he advised pharmacy student directors on clinical operations, patient interviewing, interdisciplinary coordination, and SOAP note documentation.
At the University of South Florida Taneja College of Pharmacy, he acted as a Geriatrics Preceptor, leading multiple six-week rotations and designing a curriculum that included journal clubs, topic discussions, and intervention-based learning. He emphasized the fundamentals of geriatric care and medication therapy management while training students on targeted intervention programs.
